Architectural Experience

We have been designing homes and livable communities in the Pacific Northwest for over 25 years.  We have a broad range of experience in all types of housing. From affordable single family homes to Street of Dreams custom homes; from cottages to luxury condominiums; from townhomes to urban mixed use buildings; we’ve helped homeowners and developers realize their vision of “home” through our designs.

Townhomes on Alki - Designed by Rick Anderson AIA

Perspective

We've designed thousands of homes in the Pacific Northwest of many styles, sizes and budgets.  We've designed large projects and small on virtually every conceivable type of site.  As every developer knows, most sites available for development today are encumbered by significant environmental constraints.  We've successfully developed sites with steep slopes, land slide hazards, wetlands, riparian corridors, shorelines, eagle nesting sites and protected "exceptional" trees. This experience helps us find innovative solutions to design problems and difficult site constraints.

Hill Side Spec Home on SW Manning Street - Designed by Rick Anderson AIADesign Sense

We believe that thoughtful design and careful attention to detail in that design are the keys that make homes stand out from the crowd and make units easier to sell.  Even in the harsh selling environment of the fall of 2008 our development of 5 moderately priced single family homes on SW Manning Street in West Seattle sold out in a very short period of time.  Our design sense is expressed in unique architectural forms and exterior materials and in thoughtful arrangements of interior spaces.
