Construction Documents
In
this phase we do the final architectural detailing and structural
design. We add further information to the floor plans and
elevations and add foundation and framing plans, building sections
and construction details. The final construction documents
consist of the completed set of plans and the structural
calculations. Occasionally special energy code compliance
calculations are required as well.
As much as is possible we perform all of our structural design in
house. From time to time we end up needing specialized help
for such things as retaining walls or steel fabrications. We
find that performing the work in house decreases construction
conflicts, requests for construction clarifications and errors in
synchronizing structural and architectural documents.
