Architectural Experience
We have been designing homes and livable communities in the Pacific Northwest for over 25 years. We have a broad range of experience in all types of housing. From cottages to luxury condominiums: from affordable spec homes to Street of Dreams custom homes; from townhomes to urban mixed use buildings; we’ve helped homeowners and developers realize their vision of “home” through our designs.
Architectural Vision
We believe that a well designed home is a fusion of the needs of the homeowner, their budget, the constraints of the site, the opportunities afforded by the environment and the aesthetic vision of the architect. Below are examples of that fusion.
Satisfaction
The singly most satisfying and enjoyable part of our job is helping individual homeowners design a home that meets their needs and fits their budget.
Perspective
We've designed hundreds of single family homes of many styles, sizes and budgets. Things we learned designing a high end custom home we can use while designing a kitchen remodel. Lessons from the affordable spec home inform the Street of Dreams home. This experience helps us find innovative solutions to design problems and difficult site constraints.
Housing Innovation
Cottage developments represent one of the latest trends in housing innovation. Generally situated around a common courtyard, they encourage a high degree of community while providing smaller homes in a smaller footprint. Riverton Park Cottages in the City of Tukwila is our first such project. Our goal is to develop a community that: provides non-traditional, smaller housing types; fosters community; employs sustainable design & construction methods and incorporates high quality materials & finishes. We believe we've accomplished this with these 18 homes nestled on this infill lot.

Variety
We've designed a wide range of townhomes types and styles. From modern 5 story luxury view townhomes on Queen Anne to 2 story affordable starter townhomes in Edmonds, we've done it all. Many of these projects are on tough sites. From unusual lot con-figurations to steep slopes, we know how to maximize the development potential of a site.
Urban Living
The state Growth Management Act guards against suburban sprawl by forcing higher densities in the already developed urban environment. This has given rise to mixed use buildings that blend apartments or condominiums with commercial space. Our designs have sought to maximize the usefulness of the ground level commercial space while providing strong pedestrian amenities. Our goal is to provide optimum living and working conditions while maximizing the development potential of the site.
Urban Neighborhoods
As densities increase in the urban environment lots get smaller and homes are closer together. Good neighborhood design is essential to making these communities livable. Our neighborhood designs blend high quality private and public open spaces. They minimize the space allotted for vehicular circulation while providing a comfortable pedestrian environment.
Competition
A number of our neighborhood designs won public competitions. At High Point and Mapes Creek we were chosen out of a number of competitors as having the best design for those parcels.
